The Canadian Scottish Regimental Heritage Foundation is a registered Canadian charity dedicated to supporting the operations in heritage of The Canadian Scottish Regiment (Princess Mary's) — the largest reserve infantry unit in Western Canada.

Based in Victoria, British Columbia, our foundation works tirelessly to maintain the proud Scottish traditions, uniforms, and heritage that have defined the Regiment since its formation in 1920.

We are registered with the Canada Revenue Agency as a charitable organization (Registration #891571465RR0001), allowing donors to receive tax receipts for their contributions.

Our Mission

The Canadian Scottish Regimental Heritage Foundation aims to raise funds to support the operations of the Canadian Scottish Regiment, including maintaining uniforms and heritage traditions. We also support the Regimental Museum and various projects benefiting the Regiment.

Our Vision

To ensure the proud heritage and traditions of The Canadian Scottish Regiment (Princess Mary's) are preserved for future generations, while honoring the sacrifice and service of all who have worn the Hunting Stewart tartan in defense of Canada.

Where We Operate

Our foundation's geographic focus and presence

Bay Street Armoury Victoria

Victoria, British Columbia

Our foundation operates primarily in Victoria, British Columbia, with our activities centered around the historic Bay Street Armoury — the headquarters of The Canadian Scottish Regiment (Princess Mary's).

The Bay Street Armoury, opened in 1915, is a heritage building that serves as both the regimental headquarters and home to our museum. It's here that we host our annual Ceilidh celebrations and other community events.

While our primary focus is on Vancouver Island, we also support national and international efforts related to the Canadian Scottish Regiment, including commemorations at battle sites overseas and connections with allied regiments such as The Royal Regiment of Scotland.

The regiment we proudly support

The Canadian Scottish Regiment (Princess Mary's) is a Primary Reserve infantry regiment of the Canadian Army, with its headquarters located at the Bay Street Armoury in Victoria, British Columbia.

Formed on March 12, 1920, through the amalgamation of the 88th Regiment (Victoria Fusiliers) and the 50th Regiment (Gordon Highlanders), the regiment carries a distinguished record of service in two World Wars and modern peacekeeping operations.

The regiment was granted the additional title "Princess Mary's" on April 29, 1948, in honor of Princess Mary, daughter of King George V. Today, it stands as the largest reserve unit in Western Canada.
