The Annual Regimental Ceilidh
Our annual Ceilidh is the highlight of the foundation's calendar — a traditional Scottish celebration that brings together the regimental family, veterans, and the greater Victoria community for an unforgettable evening of heritage and fellowship.
Held at the historic Bay Street Armoury, the Ceilidh features:
- Live performances by the Pipes and Drums of The Canadian Scottish Regiment
- Traditional Scottish dancing and music
- Scottish cuisine and refreshments
- Silent auctions and fundraising activities
- Recognition of regimental achievements and milestones
All proceeds from the Ceilidh support the foundation's mission to preserve regimental heritage and traditions.
Get Event UpdatesRemembrance Day Ceremonies
Each November 11th, The Canadian Scottish Regiment and the Heritage Foundation participate in Remembrance Day ceremonies to honor the fallen. These solemn observances recognize the sacrifice of all who served, particularly the 5,491 casualties of WWI and 402 killed in WWII.
Ceremonies include:
- Regimental parade and march
- Laying of wreaths
- Pipes and Drums performances
- Moments of silence and reflection
- Readings from the Book of Memory
"At the going down of the sun and in the morning, we will remember them."
